Make sure you are prepared for the future by coming along to our free information session on wills and trusts
The session is held on Friday March 24th from 7:15pm – 8:30pm, during our TGIF! children’s group.
All parent-carers of a child with a learning disability/autism are welcome, and children aged 6 – 17 can come along with you and attend TGIF! for free (find out more about TGIF! here: https://www.sheffieldmencap.org.uk/childrens-services/tgif/

Family Action is a charity committed to building stronger families by delivering innovative and effective services and support that reaches out to many of the UK’s most vulnerable people. We seek to empower people and communities to address their issues and challenges through practical, financial and emotional help. At Sheffield ADHD, we recognise that raising any child is difficult and at times stressful, but raising a child with ADHD can sometimes feel impossible. There is no magic wand or an easy solution, but it is possible to reduce the difficulties of managing ADHD and to find positives and strengths in the young people diagnosed. We can help. The project is commissioned by Sheffield City Council and has been running in Sheffield for over 14 years. We support the families of children and young people who are affected by ADHD. We do this by raising knowledge and awareness of the disorder, providing strategies for managing the associated symptoms and promoting the individuality and potential of those affected.

Sheffield Parent Carer Forum is an independent local charity run by and for parents of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We connect almost 2,000 families from across Sheffield to provide mutual support, share information and influence policy and practice. Changing Faces is the UK’s leading charity for everyone with a mark, scar or condition on their face or body that makes them look different. We offer free emotional, social and counselling support for people who have a visible difference which affects their mental or emotional wellbeing. This include a support and information line, one-to-one social and emotional support sessions, an online community forum, peer support group sessions (18yrs +), and online workshops for children, young people and parents, and a skin camouflage service. Our skin camouflage service is available at locations across England & Scotland. Our free wellbeing services are all delivered via telephone, video session or online, meaning they can be accessed across the UK, wherever you live. On our website you will also find self-help guides and resources for schools.
