Changing Faces online Christmas Family Day

Changing Faces online Christmas Family Day is for children and young people across the country who have a mark, scar or condition that affects their appearance and is open to all the family.

There will be mini sessions throughout the day that people can dip in and out of depending on what sounds right for them. They’ll be looking at ways to handle staring and awkward questions, as well bullying and teasing. They’ll be discussing the importance of self-care, along with a mindfulness session; how to navigate social media for teenagers and advice for parents of pre-schoolers. They are also really pleased to have an online magician session run by the fantastic DNA Kids that should be entertaining for all and myself and co-facilitator, Julie Carr, will also do our ‘unique’ take on the secret recipe for a good friendship! Lastly, they have a panel of our fantastic Changing Faces’ young champions who’ll be talking about their own experiences of living with a visible difference, which is always really inspiring!

The workshop will run on Sunday 4th December 10.30-2.30pm via Zoom and it’s easy to sign up to. They now have a QR code on the flyer that can be scanned, or people can email support@changingfaces.org.uk to find out more.
