Please join us for our next transition sub group meeting. This group is for parents of young people aged 14-25 years with SEND.

The meeting will be attended by Rachel Mason, a consultant and parent carer who has developed a 24:7 grid www.247grid.com for preparation for adulthood which the Local Authority want to roll out across Sheffield. We will also be joined by Sheffield City Council’s post 16 officer.

We are a friendly group and there will be time to chat and swap information with other parents. No need to book, but let us know if you can’t attend in person and would like to join via Zoom.

Family Fund provides grants to families raising disabled and seriously ill children aged 17 and under. Our grants support a family, improve their well-being, increase quality of life and ease many of the pressures they often face. We are a registered charity and the UK’s largest provider of grants to families living on low incomes who are raising disabled or seriously ill children. Our grants bring practical and essential help that is often a lifeline to a family such as washing machines, fridges, bedding, specialist toys and much-need family breaks. With limited funding we try to help as many families as we can. We use our own eligibility criteria to ensure that we only help families in the most need. We will consider helping a family once every 12 months and will usually look at a grant application 12 months from the date of the last grant. Depending on what a family have asked for, we will award a grant in a number of different ways. The Local Offer is part of the Sheffield Directory. It contains information for children, young people and families and for adults who live in Sheffield and the surrounding area. The Local Offer has lots of information and services. This supports children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities aged 0-25.
