RSBC are here to support you and your family if you have a blind or partially sighted child aged 0-25. We offer a range of services including face-to-face emotional support and practical advice for families living in Yorkshire and the Humber, and opportunities for children and young people to build confidence and skills through activities. At RSBC, we want every blind child and their family to have the skills and confidence to live their life without limits. All our services are free to join. From the moment you receive a diagnosis that your child has sight loss, if there is a change in vision, if your child or family are going through some changes that are difficult to manage or any other time when life just seems a bit tough, get in touch and let one of our Family Practitioners be there to support you. We can support the whole family through our Families First service. MASKK’s mission is to work to enhance the lives of all children growing up in estates in Sheffield classed as deprived in the multiple index of deprivation, regardless of wealth, religion, gender, race, background or ability. MASKK aim to provide affordable After School & Holiday Childcare, Short Breaks for children with disabilities, a variety of Kids Clubs, Family Stay and Plays, and other activities the community require or request through regular consultation. MASKK deliver a volunteer programme that supports local people to gain experience, training and employment. Using playwork to bring together children and their parents to grow, develop and build community.

A small user-led charity which makes life better for children with hydrocephalus (known as water on the brain) and the families who love and care for them. We deliver : Awareness: Every year 1 in 770 babies will be diagnosed with hydrocephalus, yet there is little awareness of the condition and its impact. We are working to change this through targeted awareness raising. Support: We direct families affected by hydrocephalus to organisations that can offer help. We also provide peer-to-peer support, so families feel less alone and can meet others from within their community who are going through the same. Campaigns Through our ‘Get-A-Head’ campaign, we speak up for better awareness of infant head circumference measurement as a tool for early diagnosis of hydrocephalus. Research and training We support research and fund training. This improves understanding of the condition and its management amongst front-line health care professionals, which improves patient care.

Oily Cart is a theatre company that specialises in creating sensory shows for, with and alongside disabled young people (0-25 years) and their families. Oily Cart create remarkable, accessible sensory shows that connect with babies, toddlers, disabled children and young people, and their families. Founded over 40 years ago, in the past decades we have pioneered a whole new artform: Sensory Theatre. By pushing theatre beyond words – using not just 5, but all 33 senses – we create tactile wonderlands that meet each child where they’re at. Each sensory experience is a space to be who you are and be together, re-imagining the world as it should – and will – be. We collaborate with disabled and non-disabled artists of all ages, always considering those who experience the most barriers first. At Oily Cart we don’t tell children how they should watch the theatre. We learn from them what theatre should be.
