We are pleased to inform you that, Chilypep, in partnership with Community Boost, are hosting an Information Fayre for Young People in Barnsley on Saturday 18th June 2022 at the H.O.M.E. Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing Hub in Barnsley Town centre.
Community Boost is an innovative and creative project to help stimulate the growth of good employment and help local people access it. Working with local people to make sure projects work for them with long standing benefits is an essential part of the scheme.
At the Fayre, we will bring together all partner projects and other providers to promote exciting and often unheard about opportunities in the central Barnsley area. This will support young people to find out about and meet organisations who can support them to develop their skills, confidence and job prospects, and access further education/training opportunities, in fun and interesting ways!
If you would like to get involved in the Fayre, whether that be holding a stall at the Hub to offer information and services to young people, host a ‘try it yourself’ session, or if you have any more information/contacts that you feel would be interested in taking part or useful to the project, please contact kate.smith@chilypep.org.uk. If you need support with resources or equipment, we’d be happy to help, and have a small pot of funding to support this! We have plenty of space left so please get involved with the community if you can! We are looking for a wide range of businesses/opportunities including more quirky businesses, feel free to pass this onto any people you feel could offer a funky stall at the fayre. We want artists, creatives, performers, entrepreneurs, and people with inspiring backgrounds to tell their stories!
